![]() ![]() So, do not expect a remaster where nothing changes, this is a remake. Sometimes we feel a bit like archeologists, which is both super exciting and deeply meta! But we’re also game developers, that means a couple things are going to change, a couple systems are going to be adjusted, the UI and UX are going to be different. We’re making everything from scratch, based on our knowledge of the original. There was no source code available, which is a problem shared by a lot of older games. The difference now is that we’re going to be able to share more of our day to day work, which I’m sure will generate some interesting conversations. While tools are more advanced, there are half a dozen of us compared to the 40+ people that worked on the original, so we’re going to ask you a little bit more patience. We’ve been at it for a year now, and there’s still a lot of work to do. Big in its impact on people, big on the wonderful memories it created, and big in the absolutely crazy amount of content it offers. If someone had told us, when we started Triskell in 2014, that we would be remaking Pharaoh, one of our favorite games of all time, I don’t think we would have believed it. Back in May 2019, we were officially putting a stop to Lethis – Path of Progress II pre-production, and starting a new adventure, a new game.
